Rain sounds...

Welcome welcome welcome and thank you for dropping by.
My name is Holly Mac. I made this blog as a space for my writing.
I named my blog 'Rain on the Roof' because of where I come from, deep in the countryside, where I grew up feeling the best way to rejuvenate yourself was to go and spend some time in nature.Whenever it rains I still have the urge to run outside and puddle jump. I think rain on the roof still jolts people out of their personal bubble, especially if it's heavy, for just a moment you might see an office full of people admiring the torrent of rain water streaming down their windows. I want my blog to be like that- to stop your busy head in its tracks, even just for a moment, while you listen to the rain on the roof and think about things with me.
Until January the main project I'm focusing on is directing Paper Chase a play I wrote about what it means to be human and how our sense of self changes when we begin to lose our memories. Featuring live music and a variety of acts exploring this theme in different mediums from poetry to soundscapes to dance.
Come along to the Salford Students Union on January 23rd at 7pm. Free entry! (More dates to be announced soon.)
I'm also incredibly excited to announce the Bayou audio book!(look in projects for more details) which should be available soon! Once we have put part three together we will finally be able to announce the release date! Bayou now has it's own Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Soundcloud with exclusive content and reviews:
I am incredibly grateful to Sarlisart, who makes some of my favourite art of all time, for making an icon for us for people to recognise Bayou by! This is a huge honour for me and I am humbled to collaborate with someone who has inspired me so much.
I'm hustling even harder this year to bring you the best projects and writing I possibly can.Thank you for your support.
Oh, and don't the autumn leaves look beautiful?
