Audio Book

I worked for almost a week straight on the design trying to get the atmosphere right, it was really important to me that it had a homemade and honest feel to it since our entire project has been done ourselves with our own skills, I wanted the art to reflect that, to have some imperfections and a cosy but eerie atmosphere. Readers of the Bayou series will know Bayou isn't a scary ghost story it's full of friendly ghosts... mostly. Thank you to the very talented Ellen for touching it up.

Left to right Hannah (our audio engineer), Obi (the narrator of Bayou), Me, Holly (the writer of the Bayou stories).

Very excitingly, Sarlisart has been incredibly sweet and agreed to design an icon for the audio book! this is a huge deal for me as she's one of my favourite artists ever and getting to collaborate with her on a project that means so much to me is almost too exciting for words!

I'm incredibly excited to announce that I am working on a Bayou Audio Book, based on my Bayou stories, which has, in my mind, the best team working on it imaginable. It will be a three part release with a possible live event as our finale. Parts one and two have already been recorded in the studio and part three is almost ready, I'll announce the release date soon! One of my all time favourite artists Sarlisart has created an Icon for Bayou, I feel incredibly lucky I get to collaborate with someone who has inspired me so much. Bayou now has it's own social media with exclusive content, artwork and reviews:
Music
This is a short EP I made last summer as io! (named after Jupiter's moon- I really love astrophysics.) The tracks were inspired by my summer spent deep in the countryside tending to flowers (lots and lots of flowers) and lying in fields watching the stars at night. I played a small charity event and described io as: A sound created alone in a house in the middle of the countryside. A vocal and bass version of what it feels like to see a moth in your torch beam.
